We’re thrilled to share that Good Clean Love has officially earned our fourth B Corp recertification. When we first became certified in 2012 and joined the inaugural group of Oregon B Corps in 2013, the process felt simpler. We were a small but mighty company, guided by values that naturally aligned with B Corp standards: using bioplastics, creating certified organic products, and building sustainability into every choice.
As both Good Clean Love and the B Corp movement have grown, the process has become more complex, and more meaningful. More than 150,000 companies have started the journey, but fewer than 10,000 worldwide have met the rigorous standards required for certification. In the U.S., that number is under 2,500. The bar is high, and it keeps rising.
What is a B Corp?
A B Corp meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, with the principle that the business should serve not only shareholders, but also workers, customers, communities, and the planet.
This year’s recertification took nearly a year to complete, requiring deep reflection and accountability across our business. Living our values means putting them into action, like our commitment to donate at least 2% of annual revenue to women’s health and charitable organizations, and our medical sampling program that gets product into the hands of those who need it most. The “B” in B Corp has always stood for Benefit for All, and that remains the heart of Good Clean Love.
While the process can be demanding, we believe in raising the standard for what business can and should be: a force for good rooted in transparency, sustainability, and care for people and the planet. We also hope the movement continues to welcome more companies into the fold, because spreading the good benefits us all.
We’re proud to be part of this global community of purpose-driven businesses and prouder still to keep living our mission: making love better, safely, sustainably, and with benefit for all.
