Shipping & Delivery

Shipping

How do I track my order?

After your order ships, we'll receive an email with tracking information so you can track your delivery. Couriers will provide an estimated delivery date based on transit time. Please check your spam folders if you cannot find your tracking confirmation email.

Please note: Orders are not processed and shipped on weekends and holidays.

Why does it say "no delivery options available"? I live in Canada and can't order some items.

Some products, including Relief Gel, Regenesis, and Reset, cannot be shipped to Canada. If any of these items are in your cart, checkout will not be possible. These products are not registered in Canada.

Can I change my shipping address?

At Good Clean Love we are committed to processing and shipping your orders as quickly as possible to ensure timely delivery. Due to our efficient fulfillment process, we are unable to modify shipping addresses once the order has been placed through our website.

However, if the courier identifies an issue with the address during transit, they may provide an option on their website for you to update the shipping details. We recommend checking with the courier directly for any available address modification options.

For more details, please see our Shipping Terms & Conditions

I live in Canada. Will I owe taxes, duties, or other fees on my purchase?

Please be advised that depending on the province you live in, tax may be collected at time of delivery and is the responsibility of the customer to pay.  The carrier may also assess handling fees at their discretion which is out of our control and also the responsibility of the customer to pay.

Use a Canadian duty and tax calculator to help you estimate the additional cost.

For additional ordering options, Good Clean Love products are now available on Amazon Canada and iHerb.com

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship only to Canada and the USA and do not offer international shipping. However, select Good Clean Love products are available on iHerb.com, which provides international shipping options.

Regarding the delivery of your order, this is the most common delivery issue! Please read below for the most common ways your package will arrive:

Please Check Nearby for Your Delivered Package
We’ve found that most packages are often delivered to a front office, parcel locker, mailroom, or package room, or occasionally left with a neighbor.  We kindly ask that you check these areas, as well as nearby locations, as the package typically turns up in one of these areas.

Package May Arrive Soon
Sometimes the courier marks the package as delivered, but it may actually arrive a few days later. If you are unable to locate the package after 72 hours, please reach back out. (Additionally, the courier may not have scanned your latest transit update and your package is still en route.)

Possible Carrier Delays
In some cases, the carrier may be experiencing delays due to inclement weather, local disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances that impact delivery times. We appreciate your patience and recommend keeping an eye on the tracking information for updates.

Check Your Tracking Number
Please refer to your tracking number, which is automatically emailed to you when your order ships. If you did not receive a tracking confirmation email, it may have been routed to your spam or junk folder. Tracking updates can provide real-time information on the status of your delivery.

How do I clean your applicators?

The gel applicator disassembles into two parts for easy cleaning. After each use, disassemble and wash the reusable applicator in hot soapy water and allow to air dry. Make sure the applicator is clean and dry before reusing. The Reset® applicator does not come apart, but otherwise is cleaned the same way.

Why do I experience a warming or burning sensation when first starting your products?

Good Clean Love lubricants, vaginal gels and suppositories use a Bio-Match® pH-balanced formula that supports vaginal health by promoting natural pH levels, salt & lactic acid. As the formula works to establish a healthy vaginal pH some customers experience an initial warming or burning sensation which decreases with each subsequent use.

I need some help with the applicator insertion. What tips do you have?

For those with vaginal dryness and atrophy, inserting the applicator dry can cause discomfort. We recommend applying some lubricant or vaginal gel to the top end and length of the applicator for easier insertion. Inserting lubricant or vaginal gel in the opening of vagina can also help ease insertion.

What kind of aloe vera does Good Clean Love use in its products?

Good Clean Love does not sell any products that contain non-decolorized whole leaf aloe vera. Our organic aloe is carefully sourced specifically from the inner fillet of the aloe leaf to ensure quality and purity.

Do your lubricants and vaginal moisturizing gels contain hormones?

No. Our lubricants and vaginal moisturizing gels do not contain any hormones.

Are your lubricants and vaginal gels safe to ingest?

Yes. Our lubricants and vaginal gels are safe to ingest in small amounts.

Are your products gluten free?

Yes, our products are gluten-free and do not contain gluten derivatives.

Where can I find the expiration date on my product?

Each Good Clean Love® product comes with a lot code, typically found at the top of the tube on its crimped edge. Lot codes consist of a combination of numbers and letters. Our lot code format follows YYMDD (Year Year Month Day Day). For example, for September 1, 2022, the lot code would be 22J01, where 'J' corresponds to September according to the following logic: A=Jan, B=Feb, C=Mar, D=April, E=May, F=June, G=July, H=Aug, I=Skipped (not used), J=Sept, K=Oct, L=Nov, M=Dec.

Shelf life varies by product, but most Good Clean Love® products remain safe to use for 3-5 years after the manufacturing date. Here's a breakdown of the shelf life for various products when unopened:
Almost Naked: 5 years
Restore: 5 years
BioNude: 3 years
Hybrid: 2 years
Liquid: 4 years
Balance Wash: 4 years
Ultra-Sensitive Foam Wash: 3 years
Balance Wipes: 3 years

However, we advise consulting with your healthcare provider regarding the use of products and supplements. They can offer guidance on whether certain ingredients may interact with your current medications or are safe for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Can I use your lubricants or vaginal gels with my pessary or IUD?

Because our products are water-based and are compatible with silicone products, many patients report successfully using our lubricants and vaginal gels with IUDs.  However, if you have specific questions on compatibility, we recommend consulting with the manufacturer.

Are your lubricants and vaginal gels safe to use with dilators?

Many patients report successfully using our lubricants and vaginal gels with dilator therapy. Because our lubricants and vaginal gels are water-based, they work best with silicone products. However, if you have specific questions on compatibility, we recommend consulting with the manufacturer.

Are your products latex-free?

Yes. Good Clean Love products are latex-free.

Why do your products have different colored packaging?

We’ve recently updated our packaging as part of our rebranding efforts. All of our products now feature our standard brand green to create a more cohesive and recognizable look.

While the colors may have changed, rest assured that the products you know and love remain the same. Our formulations have not changed, so you can continue to expect the same great quality.

Where are Good Clean Love products manufactured?

Good Clean Love products are manufactured in the USA.

Personal Lubricants

Is Regenesis the same quality as other Good Clean Love® products?

We developed Regenesis with the help of leading scientists to meet the high expectations of our customers. The formula uses natural ingredients and contains no petrochemicals, parabens, glycerin, or glycol. Regenesis is also part of our Bio-Match® family of products - promoting conditions that match optimal vaginal pH and salt balance. This lubricant is FDA cleared, compatible with latex and polyisoprene condoms as well as sex toys and it will provide smooth, lasting lubrication.

How does Regenesis support fertility?

Some popular vaginal lubricants have been shown to negatively affect sperm motility. However, Regenesis is different.

Our product is specially formulated to support an optimal environment for fertility, a claim that is backed by FDA clearance and verified by a qualified doctor of obstetrics and gynecology. Regenesis is a water based, hydroxyethylcellulose formula. That’s exactly what is recommended by doctors at the Mayo Clinic because that combination closely mimics a woman's natural moisture and does not inhibit the movement of sperm.

Where many lubricants can slow sperm movement, Regenesis supports all phases of fertility. But the biggest difference between Regenesis and other fertility lubricants is that Regenesis is safe both for sperm and for the vagina. Healthy vaginal pH is about 3.5 to 4.5. The pH of semen is usually 7.2 to 7.8. Our scientifically advanced Regenesis is unique – the first fertility lubricant that uses what doctors call a “low buffering action” so that the lubrication adapts its pH during intercourse, simultaneously maintaining a healthy vaginal pH while supporting sperm viability. Other fertility lubricants are safe for sperm by having a high pH, which is damaging to vaginal tissue. Calcium and magnesium have long been known as critical to fertilization. We’ve added ions of both to Regenesis to support the process of sperm movement and egg penetration that ultimately result in pregnancy. Combine those with premium ingredients and supporting lactic acid and you have a lubricant that enhances intimacy, reduces discomfort, and matches your own fertile fluids to create an optimal environment for conception.

How do we use Regenesis?

We’ve included two reusable, easy-to-use and easy-to-clean applicators. Regenesis is intended to be applied inside the vagina immediately before intercourse. One 2-ounce tube should provide about 12 applications. Regenesis is water-based and cleans up easily.

What is the difference between the Hybrid Lubricant and the Liquid Lubricant?

Hybrid lubricant is a water-silicone (dimethicone) based lubricant, slightly thicker consistency than Liquid. It is our longest-lasting lubricant yet, and ideal for those who prefer a versatile, yet natural water-silicone based lubricant.

Liquid lubricant is a water-based lubricant that is compatible with toys. It has a slightly thinner consistency than Hybrid yet is highly moisturizing with the added ingredient of hyaluronic acid.

Both lubricants contain hyaluronic acid for a silky-smooth, nourishing glide.

Is BioNude® lubricant safe to use with toys?

Yes, BioNude® is compatible with all toys.

What is Dimethicone?

Dimethicone is a type of inert and non-toxic silicone used to enhance lubrication with a silky feel and retain moisture. In addition to being deemed safe for human use by the FDA & Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel, silicones are not absorbed by the human body and are even safe to be consumed in small quantities. Despite this, we still use the smallest amount possible to achieve the desired feel of silicone, while remaining iso-osmotic and Better-for-You.

What makes BioNude® sensitive?

BioNude® is made in a base of hydroxyethylcellulose and is considered hypoallergenic. Additionally, it does not contain any flavor.

What causes the color variation in Almost Naked?

It can be common for Almost Naked to have an opaque to yellow color due to its nature of being organic aloe vera. Some batches vary in translucency. However, this does not change the efficacy of the product or indicate anything is off in the formulation. We use premium sourced aloe vera.

What is the natural flavor in Almost Naked®?

Our Almost Naked® has a vanilla and lemon flavor. Our flavoring is derived from plants, contains no artificial constituents, and is food grade and (GRAS) generally recognized as safe to ingest.

Are your lubricants and vaginal moisturizers safe to use with silicone toys?

Yes, our lubricants and vaginal gels are compatible with all toys.

When should I use a lubricant?

A good lubricant enhances any kind of sex, whether anal or vaginal, partnered, or solo, with or without toys. In a study of over 2,400 women, water-based personal lubricants were associated with increased pleasure and satisfaction in vaginal sex, solo sex, and anal sex. Of course, an all-natural lube is crucial when there is little or no natural lubrication, but as a rule wetter is better — even if you have enough natural vaginal lubrication to get by, an added dollop of natural lubricant can supercharge your encounter, turning acceptable to ecstatic.

In fact, the psychological link between lubrication and arousal means that a lubricant can serve as an aphrodisiac. There is a common myth that arousal has to come first, then sex; although we recommend becoming aroused early and often, the truth is that arousal can go hand in hand with gentle, lubricant-assisted touching and play. Just because you aren’t producing natural vaginal lubrication doesn’t mean you don’t want to have sex! Bringing some lube into the picture can jump-start your body’s arousal reaction and help you feel sexier.

Some women also use a lubricant as a daily vaginal moisturizer to ease dryness after birth control or menopause. Although there is nothing wrong with using all-natural lubricants this way, there is also a class of vaginal gels that are formulated slightly differently and make ideal vaginal moisturizers.

What are the benefits of using an iso-osmolar, water-based personal lubricant?

The vaginal ecosystem is delicate, and using hyper-osmolar lubricants or harmful substances can disrupt its pH and osmolality, increasing the risk of bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, and other complications. Research shows that many improperly formulated lubricants contain ingredients that should be avoided near sensitive tissues. To prevent these issues, choose a lubricant that closely matches natural vaginal lubrication, known as iso-osmolar or iso-osmotic, which helps maintain the health of vaginal tissues and protects against potential infections.

The best water-based lubricant is pH-balanced, iso-osmolar, paraben-free, and petrochemical-free.

What is the difference between Almost Naked® and BioNude®?

Almost Naked® is made with organic aloe vera while BioNude® is made in a base of hydroxyethylcellulose. The differences are mostly preference related. Almost Naked has a thicker viscosity and is naturally scented with real lemon and vanilla (some people prefer/don't prefer scent, so that's a big difference between the two). BioNude is a thinner viscosity and has no scent. It is hypoallergenic and designed for those with flavor or aloe sensitivities.

What personal lubricant is best for anal sex?

We recommend Hybrid Silicone & Water Based Personal Lubricant for anal sex. It has silicone (dimethicone), which gives additional glide to areas that are not capable of producing their own lubrication, but is also water-based, meaning it is non-staining and easy to clean up.

Vaginal Moisturizing Gels

How can I improve the comfort and ease of using your applicator?

Our applicator was redesigned a few years ago to feature smoother edges. However, certain design constraints prevent a complete structural overhaul, as the applicator must securely thread onto the product tube.

To improve comfort, we recommend applying a lubricant or gel to both the tip and length of the applicator before use. Some customers also find that inserting a small amount of gel or lubricant into the vaginal opening helps ease insertion.

We hope these tips are helpful and appreciate your understanding.

Can your vaginal moisturizing gels help treat yeast infections?

Our pH balanced vaginal moisturizing gels are designed to help support a vaginal biome health by supporting the normal vaginal pH range of 3.5-4.5 and supporting lactobacilli.

Maintaining a healthy vaginal biome may help reduce the likelihood of a variety of infections. Using a probiotic such as our Reset Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository can also help in maintaining a healthy lactobacilli population. However, our moisturizing gels are not antifungals and cannot treat yeast infections.

What's the difference between a vaginal moisturizing gel and a personal lubricant?

Personal lubricants, such as our Almost Naked or BioNude lubricants, are designed for intimacy use.

A vaginal moisturizing gel, such as our Restore and Rehydrate, are designed to support a healthy vaginal pH and vaginal dryness regardless of sexual activity. However, our vaginal moisturizing gels can also be used as lubricants for intimacy if desired.

Can your vaginal moisturizers Restore and Rehydrate be used for intercourse?

Yes, in addition to being a vaginal moisturizer, Restore or Rehydrate can be used as a lubricant for intercourse.

Why do I feel a warming/tingling/burning sensation when I use Rehydrate?

Our vaginal gels and lubricant products are formulated within a healthy vaginal pH range. When beginning to use our products, if your vaginal pH is elevated, you may experience a warming sensation within the first several days. This means the product is working and we encourage you to continue to use it, especially if you have symptoms of dryness or discomfort, which are often associated with an elevated pH. Often, it may be helpful to introduce a smaller amount of the moisturizing gel in the beginning, slowly increasing the dosage over time. We also recommend wiping off any gel that comes into contact with the external tissues if you experience these sensations. If you continue to experience undue discomfort, we recommend discontinuing use and contacting your healthcare provider.

What is the difference between Rehydrate and Restore Vaginal Moisturizing Gels?

Restore and Rehydrate are both water-based, pH-balanced, OB/GYN-recommended moisturizers, and feature our patented Bio-Match® technology. Additionally, both can be used as a personal lubricant for intimacy and are compatible with condoms and sex toys.

In terms of how they're different, Restore Moisturizing Vaginal Gel is formulated using an organic aloe base which perfectly mimics natural vaginal moisture. Restore is great for individuals who don’t typically experience skin sensitivities or allergic reactions. This product is lightly flavored.

Rehydrate Ultra Moisturizing Vaginal Gel, on the other hand, features hyaluronic acid, an ingredient known for its superior moisture-locking capabilities. Rehydrate helps sensitive vaginal tissue retain moisture and heal and is formulated using a hydroxyethylcellulose base instead of aloe. This product is best suited for individuals with skin sensitivities or who may need to accommodate atrophied or otherwise compromised vaginal tissues. It is also hypoallergenic and unflavored.

What is the benefit of hyaluronic acid in Rehydrate?

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the body, in joints, connective tissues, skin, and eyes. It acts as a natural cushion and lubricant for the body. It retains high amounts of water, aiding in moisturization. The hyaluronic acid in Rehydrate helps to maintain moisture at the surface of vaginal tissues.

How does Rehydrate® Ultra Moisturizing Vaginal Gel with Hyaluronic Acid work?

Rehydrate uses Bio-Match® technology which means it is formulated to mimic optimal vaginal conditions with perfectly calibrated pH levels, salt balance, and the same type of beneficial lactic acid produced by healthy lactobacilli for a truly natural and healthy lubricating response. It can be used daily as a moisturizer, as well as during intimacy. With consistent use, Rehydrate optimizes levels of pH, salts, and lactic acid to create a healthy vaginal ecosystem.

What's the Difference Between BioNourish and Rehydrate?

BioNourish Vaginal Gel and Rehydrate Vaginal Gel are the same product—Rehydrate is simply the latest packaging update as part of our rebranding. While the look has changed, the formula remains exactly the same. No ingredients have been altered—it's still the trusted product you know and love.

What is the natural flavor in Restore?

Our Restore has an apple flavor. Our flavoring is derived from plants, contains no artificial constituents, and is food grade and (GRAS) generally recognized as safe to ingest.

Can Restore® be applied externally?

Restore® is designed for internal vaginal use to relieve symptoms of dryness and discomfort, however it is safe to use externally on the vulva.

Why do I feel a warming/tingling/burning sensation when I use Restore®?

Our vaginal gels and lubricant products are formulated within a healthy vaginal pH range. Often, when beginning to use our products, if your vaginal pH is elevated, you may experience a warming sensation within the first several days. This means the product is working and we encourage you to continue to use it, especially if you have symptoms of dryness or discomfort, which are often associated with an elevated pH. Often, it may be helpful to introduce a smaller amount of the moisturizing gel in the beginning, slowly increasing the dosage over time. We also recommend using Restore internally and wiping off any gel that is in contact with the delicate labial tissues to reduce these sensations. If you continue to experience undue discomfort, we recommend discontinuing use and contacting your healthcare provider.

Is it safe to use Restore® Moisturizing Vaginal Gel during your period?

Vaginal Care

What is the difference between the Ultra-Sensitive Foaming Wash and Balance?

In addition to the foam vs liquid dispensing, the foaming wash uses fewer surfactants than Balance, and has additional botanical extracts included to soothe and moisturize skin. Specifically, tremella fusiform is purported to hold 1000 times its weight in water! These differences make the foaming wash a gentler alternative to Balance.

How do I store Reset?

Reset is best stored at room temperature (50-86F).

Can you insert Reset without an applicator?

You can insert the suppository with, or without use of the applicator. We recommend you wash your hands thoroughly before inserting with, or without, the applicator.

Why do I have discharge after using Reset?

Because of the color of the suppository, it is normal to experience a slightly beige-brown color in fallout or discharge after use. We recommend using a panty liner during the day.

Can I combine the Reset capsules with your vaginal moisturizing gels?

Yes! You can use our vaginal moisturizing gels with the Reset capsules. We recommend a routine using a vulvar wash, Restore or Rehydrate vaginal gel, and the suppositories for 2-3 months to help maintain a low vaginal pH over time.

How often should I use Reset?

We generally recommend inserting one suppository every third day as needed. Additionally, we recommend a 2-3 month protocol of a vulvar wash, Restore or Rehydrate  vaginal gel, and the suppository to help maintain a low vaginal pH over time.

Why do the Reset capsules look different than online?

With this product there can be variations in color that is commonly known in manufacturing, resulting in a color variation. We can assure the probiotic is safe and active

What if irritation occurs when using Reset?

For those with severe dryness or vaginal atrophy, we recommend first using Restore Moisturizing Vaginal Gel or Rehydrate Ultra Moisturizing Vaginal Gel with Hyaluronic Acid for 5-7 days prior to starting Reset for the first time. This will help to reduce potential discomfort as pH adjusts. If irritation continues to occur, discontinue use, and consult your healthcare provider.

Can I use Reset during my period?

Yes, Reset is safe for use during your period, however, we recommend using it on lighter days when it can be most effective. While the product is safe to use during menstruation, it may not be as effective and flushed out quickly during heavier flow days.

How are homeopathic ingredients used in Reset?

Homeopathic treatment of BV symptoms is based on the theory that most infections are less likely to occur when the body is in a state of natural, good health. Instead, infections thrive when conditions in the body have been altered to encourage microbial growth. Reset includes significantly diluted ingredients like Creosote and Nitric Acid – each toxic in its crude state but proven safe and effective at less than 1 part per trillion. At those levels, these ingredients relieve vaginal irritation, itching, and unusual discharge, and encourage the restoration of a healthy vaginal biome that is less susceptible to infection. We take great care to develop products that are safe, and our use of highly diluted homeopathic compounds Kreosotum and Nitricum Acidum fall well within the safety standards set by the U.S. Homeopathic Pharmacopeia.

Can Flourish help with vaginal dryness?

Vaginal dryness can be a problem for women at all stages of life and is instigated by a number of factors. Those can include health conditions, hygiene, reproductive changes, and stress. Combined use of Balance Moisturizing Wash, Restore Moisturizing Vaginal Gel, and Reset Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository, along with good intimate hygiene, promotes a balanced vaginal ecosystem with relief from dryness, irritation, and abnormal odor.

Why do you use gelatin capsules and not veggie capsules?

Veggie capsules are more brittle and often lead to higher spoiling and breaking in manufacturing. Gelatin capsules are believed to be a safer option for vaginal application as veggie capsules can cause irritation when exposed to vaginal tissue.

What are lactobacilli?

Lactobacilli are a variety of beneficial, probiotic bacteria which occur naturally in a healthy vagina. Reset® introduces more than 5 billion cells of beneficial lactobacilli, which support the vaginal environment as the active homeopathic ingredients trigger healing of vaginal tissues irritated by infection. The entire process is what allows Reset to effectively relieve recurring symptoms of BV. Reset supports the vaginal biome with bacteria most closely associated with good health.

There is ample research connecting lactobacilli with positive outcomes related to vaginal health. Those include: The Role of Lactobacillus and probiotics in maintaining vaginal health and Lactobacillus for preventing recurrent UTIs. We also recommend this article about the effectiveness of vaginal tablets containing lactobacilli and the ability of lactobacillus crispatus to inhibit the growth of BV-related bacteria.

What is Lactobacillus crispatus and how does it boost vaginal health?

Recent medical research confirmed what we've known for years - that BV affects up to 50% of women of reproductive age. Traditional treatments include antibiotics, which wipe out the harmful bacteria but may also reduce the beneficial bacteria. Lactobacillus crispatus is one of those beneficial bacteria and one recent clinical trial determined that treatment with L. crispatus - administered vaginally - resulted in significantly reduced instances of BV recurrence among women 18 to 45. L. crispatus is a critical part of our Flourish regimen and is delivered through the use of our Reset® Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository.

Why did I get a yeast infection after using the Flourish Vaginal Care System®? What should I do?

The sad irony is that healthy vaginal tissues are more prone to yeast infections than dry, unhealthy tissues are. About half of women harbor small amounts of yeast all the time, but those yeasts are usually kept at low levels through competition for space and nutrients. When the microbiome begins adjusting and vaginal tissues become better moisturized, there is a moment in time when the bad bacteria levels are reduced, but lactobacilli levels have not yet come up, and yeast thrive temporarily. The good news is these are usually easily treated by standard antifungal treatments; see a doctor if you do not respond well to over-the-counter antifungals. We recommend temporarily suspending use of Restore® Moisturizing Vaginal Gel and Reset® Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository (but not Balance) while you are undergoing treatment for yeast with a vaginal medication; you can resume the day after your last intravaginal medication application.

Why did Good Clean Love® choose a homeopathic to treat symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis?

Good Clean Love® uses a homeopathic formula designed to deliver an effective solution straight to the source. Homeopathy applies non-harmful doses of toxic substances which work together to stimulate a natural healing process. Doing so helps normalize a bodily environment like the vaginal biome. Homeopathic treatment is largely based on clinical experience while the practice was commonly used in the United States until the early 20th century. It continues to be used in hospitals in the U.K. and increasingly in India, where it now rivals conventional medicine in popularity.

Flourish Vaginal Care System® is a monthly vaginal care system. It combines Balance Moisturizing Wash, pH-balanced personal daily wash; Restore® Moisturizing Vaginal Gel, a patented, scientifically advanced vaginal moisturizing gel; and Reset® Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository, a Bio-Match® homeopathic suppository containing the most prevalent strains of vaginal lactobacilli observed in healthy vaginas.

We recommend applying with a little Restore to ease insertion right before bed. On days you use both a full dose of Restore and Reset together, apply Restore first, then apply Reset immediately. How does the Flourish Vaginal Care System work?

To support vaginal health, the Flourish Vaginal Care System has been shown to help maintain a low vaginal pH to support a healthy vaginal microbiome. You can use this system for 2-3 months to help maintain a low vaginal pH and support a health vaginal environment.

How does the Flourish Vaginal Care System® support vaginal health?

The Flourish Vaginal Care System® contains three products: Balance Moisturizing Wash for external use, Restore Moisturizing Vaginal Gel, and Reset Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository with probiotics. Flourish helps to maintain a healthy vaginal microbiome by providing moisture mimicking the body’s healthy natural fluids. Balance gently cleanses away potentially bad bacteria. Restore and Reset support the health of vaginal tissues and the healthy lactobacilli that create a healthy vaginal microbiome by providing moisture with the right pH, salt balance, and lactic acid levels matching what you would find in a healthy vagina. The three products work synergistically together, providing better results than any one of them does on its own.

Does Ultra-Sensitive Foaming Wash help with vulva dryness?

Yes, Ultra Sensitive Foaming Wash has botanical extracts that moisturize while cleansing. When combined with our other Bio-Match® products, Ultra Sensitive Foaming Wash helps to increase natural moisture by supporting a healthy vaginal ecosystem, which extends to the vulva.

What makes the Ultra-Sensitive Foaming Wash sensitive?

Ultra-Sensitive Foaming Wash uses our unique Bio-Match® technology to closely mimic your natural body chemistry. It is formulated with botanical extracts of calendula, cucumber, and snow mushroom to provide gentle, calming relief for those with the most sensitive of vulvar tissues. This wash also contains a hint of lactic acid still making it pH-balanced while also being mindful of sensitive vulvas.

Has the formula for Balance Wash changed? I noticed that the new packaging mentions lavender—was this ingredient recently added?

We want to assure customers that the formula for Balance Wash has remained the same. It has always contained our lavender flavoring, and no changes have been made to the product itself. The only update is to our new packaging, where "Lavender" is now simply highlighted on the front of the tube.
Our lavender is plant-derived, food-grade, and free from artificial constituents. It is also Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS). We remain committed to providing safe, high-quality products for all of our customers.  Please see our Clean Standards page for more details.

Does Balance Moisturizing Wash help with vulva dryness?

Yes, Balance has botanical extracts that moisturize while cleansing. When combined with our other Bio-Match® products, Balance helps to increase natural moisture by supporting a healthy vaginal ecosystem, which extends to the vulva.

How does Balance Moisturizing Wash work?

Balance Moisturizing Wash cleanses and moisturizes with a combination of aloe vera, soothing botanicals, and lactic acid. It is pH-balanced to support the pH of the vulva using our Bio-Match® technology. Balance contains no parabens, petrochemicals, harsh soaps, fragrance, or toxic ingredients known to disrupt the vulva tissues. We do not recommend soaps for cleansing the vulva area as they can strip the delicate lining of the vulva biome. Read more about why we don’t recommend soaps. Balance is for external use only.

How do I use a vulvar wash?

Once you’ve found a pH-balanced wash you like, what is the best way to clean the vagina? First, let’s clarify a key detail: a good intimate wash is actually designed to be used externally, on the vulva — not inside the vagina. What’s the difference? The vagina is the interior part of the female genitalia; it is self-cleaning, and there is no need to use any kind of soap or intimate wash there, even after sex or during your period. Use your natural intimate cleanser only on the vulva, which is the part that you can see from the outside, including the labia majora, labia minora, vestibule, and tip of the clitoris. So how to clean the vulva? Simple: Use an intimate wash once a day with your hand (not a washcloth), using cool or lukewarm water. This might also be a good time to wash the anus, as well as the perineum, which is between the anus and the vulva. Whenever you’re working in this area, always move front to back, starting with the vulva and moving back toward the anus, so that you don’t accidentally push bacteria from the anus forward into the urethra or vagina. When you’re finished, dry gently but thoroughly. Get on with your day and pat yourself on the back for choosing a natural wash that leaves you clean, moisturized, and pH balanced. Wondering how to wash your vagina when you’re traveling? Don’t have time to get in the shower and break out the vaginal wash? Try some pH-balanced moisturizing wipes instead. They’re a convenient and portable way to bring the best hygiene wipes with you wherever you go.

Can I use your washes to clean toys?

We recommend following the manufacturer’s washing instructions provided with the toy. Different materials may require different cleaning protocols.

Sustainable Packaging

Are your bioplastics recyclable?

While some bioplastics are designed to be compostable, others can be recycled, but only in specific facilities that accept them. Unfortunately, most standard recycling programs do not process bioplastics, which means they may need to be disposed of differently than traditional plastics.

We recommend checking with your local waste management services to see if bioplastics are accepted in your area. Otherwise, we recommend disposing of them in your trash bin.

Why is bioplastic a more sustainable choice?

Using sugarcane derivatives instead of petroleum can solve many of the top challenges confronting our society and environment. This remarkable plant has the potential to lower carbon dioxide emissions, create jobs, diversify our energy sources, and help create a healthier, cleaner planet. Compared to gasoline, sugarcane ethanol produces 90% less carbon dioxide on average when breaking down. In fact, sugarcane ethanol has reduced Brazil’s emissions of carbon dioxide by more than 350 million tons since 2003. That’s as good for the environment as planting and maintaining 2.5 billion trees for 20 years!

What is bioplastic?

Our tubes are made out of entirely plant-based materials. Bioplastic, the leading renewable alternative to petroleum-based plastics, is made with sugarcane ethanol, which is the fermentation of sucrose found in sugarcane juice and molasses.

What is unique about Good Clean Love® packaging?

Our product tubes aren’t just attractive, they’re sustainable. As a B-Corporation and a Green America certified business, we know that business is not just about producing good products but also about ethical business practices. That's why we choose tubes made of bioplastic, rather than conventional plastic.

Vaginal Microbiome Science

Conditions

What is bacterial vaginosis? How do I get it? How is it treated?

Bacterial vaginosis – or BV for short – is a condition in which the healthiest bacterial species are no longer the dominant species in the vagina, and other bacteria grow in greater numbers. Symptoms of BV you may notice at home include having more vaginal discharge than usual, with a color that may vary from white to gray to light yellow. The discharge may have an unpleasant odor. You may experience vaginal irritation/burning or itching. Some women have no noticeable symptoms.

Current medical guidelines call for treating symptomatic BV with metronidazole or other antibiotics. These treatments are usually successful, but unfortunately, BV recurs within 3 months to a year most of the time. Many women experience recurrent BV throughout their lives. Diagnosis should be confirmed by a healthcare provider prior to any treatment.

pH

How does increased vaginal pH occur?

Many common situations can disrupt an optimal vaginal ecosystem - including intimacy, menstruation, exercise, exposure to harsh chemicals, medications, medical treatments and more. Bacterial vaginosis or other vaginal microbiome changes occur when that sensitive pH balance is disrupted, often resulting in dryness, discomfort, and abnormal odor that can impact a woman's overall health, self-confidence, and intimate relationships.

Our Flourish Vaginal Care System® offers relief from symptoms that are often associated with pH imbalance and bacterial vaginosis. Regular use of this regimen can also help support a healthy vaginal biome.

Can pH imbalance lead to vaginal issues?

Harmful bacteria thrive when vaginal pH is elevated. Those are often the cause of itch, irritation, abnormal odor, and other health concerns. Reset® Homeopathic Vaginal Suppository and Flourish Vaginal Care System® help address bacterial issues by supporting a healthy pH level and delivering billions of beneficial bacteria called lactobacilli, including L. crispatus which are commonly associated with vaginal health.

What is vaginal pH and why does it matter?

A healthy vaginal ecosystem is naturally self-cleaning and has one of the lowest pH ranges in the body (3.5-4.5). Discomfort, abnormal odor, or irregular discharge are your body's way of communicating a pH imbalance. An imbalanced or elevated pH can leave the vaginal biome susceptible to bacterial infections.

Bio-Match®

What does Bio-Match® mean?

The principle of Bio-Match® is the concept of matching a product as closely as possible to the body’s natural, healthy condition. For Good Clean Love®, this means making products with the right pH, osmolality, and lactic acid levels to match healthy vaginal fluid. We believe that by creating healthy conditions, the body is better able to do what they need to do to be healthy.

Vaginal Microbiome

What should women know about the vaginal microbiome? How does it work with the other microbiomes in the body?

The vaginal microbiome is a complex and dynamic community of microorganisms, primarily
dominated by beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus species when in a state of health. These
bacteria play a critical role in maintaining vaginal health by producing lactic acid, which keeps
the vaginal pH in an optimal range of 3.8–4.5. This acidic environment helps prevent overgrowth
of harmful bacteria and yeast.

The vaginal microbiome does not exist in isolation; rather, it interacts with other microbiomes in
the body, such as the gut and skin microbiomes. For example, harmful bacteria present in the
gut microbiome can move into the vaginal microbiome and cause infections like bacterial
vaginosis and urinary tract infections. Changes in the gut microbiome due to diet, antibiotics, or
illness can likewise indirectly impact vaginal health. The vaginal microbiome also impacts the
vulvar skin microbiome composition, and vice versa. Similarly, hormonal fluctuations (e.g.,
during menopause or pregnancy) can alter the balance of microbes in the vagina, emphasizing
the interconnectedness of these systems.

What is a microbiome?

The microbiome is the combination of all the microorganisms that live in or on the body, along with the “host” - the body itself. More casually, all the bacteria and yeasts that live on our skin, in our mouth, in our gut, in the vagina, in the nasal cavity, and other places are thought of as our microbiota, or “flora”. In most healthy women, the vaginal microbiome is dominated by one of a few species of Lactobacillus: L. crispatus, L. jensenii, L. gasseri, and L. iners. A woman’s vaginal microbiome interacts with her body’s immune system in ways we are just beginning to understand.
