My husband and I used the original green GCL Lubricant since we got married. We decided in January 2024 we wanted to start trying. We found out I was pregnant in February!

Q: No one has mentioned that sodium benzoate is a hormone disruptor that is included in the ingredients of this product. That's not a clear "clean"What product. That's a clear oxymoron. What is the purpose of it in this product?

Please note that preservatives are essential for safety in ensuring that no harmful bacteria, yeasts, or mold are able to grow in products.

Q: Will this product work the same way if applied directly on my male partner rather than using the applicator prior to intercourse?

A: There is no harm in applying it topically, however it becomes much less effective when applied externally. The product is most likely to support conception when it is applied as closely to the cervical mucus as possible, i.e. using the internal applicator immediately before intimacy. If you are trying to get pregnant, we strongly advise internal application.

A: Thanks for your question. BioGenesis has a shelf life of 18 months. Once the product is opened, we recommend using it within 12 months. The expiration date can be figured out by looking at the lot code number, which is stamped into the crimp on the front of each product tube. You can find more information about the expiration date in our FAQ section.
