Relieve dryness and discomfort with this soothing combination of vaginal moisturizer and feminine wash. The Daily Cleanse & Moisturize Kit includes two tubes of Restore® Moisturizing Vaginal Gel plus an 8 oz. tube of Balance Personal Moisturizing Wash. Used daily, or as needed, both products utilize our patented Bio-Match® formula - promoting vaginal health by mimicking natural pH levels, salt balance and lactic acid. We've used natural, organic ingredients whenever possible. No parabens, petrochemicals or glycerin. Product tubes are made with biodegradable sugar cane material to support our sustainability mission.

Balance Moisturizing Feminine Wash: For external use only. Apply generously and lather intimate areas of the body. Rinse well. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children.

Restore® Moisturizing Vaginal Gel: 

  1. Wash hands thoroughly before and after product application.
  2. Remove reusable applicator from wrapping. Pull back the applicator plunger and screw onto tube. Fill applicator with 4 to 5 grams of Restore® gel.
  3. To ease first-time insertion, apply a small amount of Restore® gel to vaginal opening while sitting or lying on back with knees bent.
  4. Push in plunger to deposit gel. Restore® is most effective at bedtime. Use Restore® for 3 consecutive nights (4 grams) and then 1-2 times per week afterwards.
  5. Wash the applicator in hot soapy water and allow to air dry. Make sure that the applicator is clean and dry before reusing. Restore® can also be applied by hand.

Is it uncomfortable to use?

Bacteria flourish when vaginal pH is elevated. There are many common causes, and the results are no fun: itch, irritation, unusual odor, abnormal discharge. There's a small chance you might experience tingling or warming as Restore® works to reset healthy pH levels. Founder Wendy Strgar often speaks with women who find the process uncomfortable. She tells them, "Don't quit! That's the product at work. That's the product at work. Keep it up and you'll start feeling like your best self." Warming and tingling is anticipated for the first few uses, and should diminish after 5-7 days of consistent use.

Balance Moisturizing Wash cleanses and moisturizes with a combination of aloe vera, soothing botanicals, and lactic acid. It is pH-balanced to support the pH of the vulva using our Bio-Match® technology. Balance contains no parabens, petrochemicals, harsh soaps, fragrance, or toxic ingredients known to disrupt the vulva tissues. We do not recommend soaps for cleansing the vulva area as they can strip the delicate lining of the vulva biome. Read more about why we don’t recommend soaps. Balance is for external use only.

 
Once you’ve found a pH-balanced wash you like, what is the best way to clean the vagina? First, let’s clarify a key detail: a good intimate wash is actually designed to be used externally, on the vulva — not inside the vagina. What’s the difference? The vagina is the interior part of the female genitalia; it is self-cleaning, and there is no need to use any kind of soap or intimate wash there, even after sex or during your period. Use your natural intimate cleanser only on the vulva, which is the part that you can see from the outside, including the labia majora, labia minora, vestibule, and tip of the clitoris. So how to clean the vulva? Simple: Use an intimate wash once a day with your hand (not a washcloth), using cool or lukewarm water. This might also be a good time to wash the anus, as well as the perineum, which is between the anus and the vulva. Whenever you’re working in this area, always move front to back, starting with the vulva and moving back toward the anus, so that you don’t accidentally push bacteria from the anus forward into the urethra or vagina. When you’re finished, dry gently but thoroughly. Get on with your day and pat yourself on the back for choosing a natural wash that leaves you clean, moisturized, and pH balanced. In terms of how they're different, Restore® Moisturizing Vaginal Gel is formulated using an organic aloe base which perfectly mimics natural vaginal moisture. Restore is great for individuals who don’t typically experience skin sensitivities or allergic reactions. This product is lightly flavored. BioNourish® Ultra Moisturizing Vaginal Gel, on the other hand, features hyaluronic acid, an ingredient known for its superior moisture-locking capabilities. BioNourish helps sensitive vaginal tissue retain moisture and heal and is formulated using a hydroxyethylcellulose base instead of aloe. This product is best suited for individuals with skin sensitivities or who may need to accommodate atrophied or otherwise compromised vaginal tissues. It is also hypoallergenic and unflavored.
