A: Balance Wash has a lavender flavor. Our flavoring is derived from plants, contains no artificial constituents, and is food grade and (GRAS) generally recognized as safe to ingest.

Q: On 10/4/21, Kelly asked why there is glycerin in this wash. I don't see glycerin listed in the ingredients on this web page. Is there glycerin in this wash? I am allergic to glycerin, so I need to know before I purchase. Thank you.

A: The formulation contains less than 5% of glycerin. In this product, glycerin is used as a humectant, or skin moisturizer, and is vegetable derived. Glycerin is widely used in personal care products and is classified as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by the FDA. It also has an A+ rating, and a "low hazard" risk assessment from the Environmental Working Group. Our Balance Personal Wash that is intended for vulva use / external application only.

Q: I accidentally used this internally during intercourse, thought I used the lube than realized it was the wash. Now I'm very irritated inside. Will this pass or do I need to make an appointment with my gyno?

A: Our Balance Moisturizing Wash cleans and moisturizes with a combination of aloe vera, soothing botanicals, and lactic acid. It is gynecologist recommended and pH-balancing. Many of our customers report relief from itching and irritation from regular use of Balance. However, we’ll be releasing a vulva pain gel later this year which may help with relief from itching.
There are no ingredients in Balance Wash that are shown to create any issues during pregnancy. However, always recommend consulting your OB-GYN for individual advice on product usage.
