How It Started
When our founder Wendy Strgar started Good Clean Love, she saw a big problem: many products women were using for intimacy and hygiene were actually doing more harm than good.
After experiencing discomfort from almost every product on the shelf, Wendy found that research backed her up.
Many common lubricants and washes aren’t made with the female body in mind. They can disrupt the vaginal microbiome, increase the risk of bacterial vaginosis (BV) and infections, and even strip away layers of vaginal epithelial cells, the body’s first line of defense.
Wendy’s mission was simple: to better understand the vaginal microbiome and create products that truly support women’s intimate health.
Together with our sister company, Vaginal Biome Science, Good Clean Love developed patented Bio-Match® technology, formulated to mimic a healthy vaginal environment and help your body return to a balanced state.
How Bio-Match® Works

Iso-Osmolality
Osmolality measures how a product interacts with the moisture in your tissues. If a product is hyperosmolar, it is heavier than your natural tissue and can pull water out of your cells, causing dryness and irritation. Our formulas are carefully balanced to match your body’s natural moisture, making them iso-osmotic and gentle on your vaginal lining.

Healthy Vaginal pH
A healthy vagina is naturally acidic, with a pH around 3.7–4.0. Bio-Match® products help maintain that ideal environment so good bacteria thrive and odor-causing bacteria stay in check. They can also help bring your pH back to a healthy range if it’s too high.

Nourishing Lactic Acid
We use the same type of lactic acid your body produces naturally. It protects against harmful bacteria while keeping your microbiome balanced, and it also feeds your native lactobacilli—the “good” bacteria that support long-term vaginal health.
Together, these three features of Bio-Match® products help good bacteria flourish and support healthy tissue, creating an optimal vaginal microbiome.
