Dr. Ashley Townes is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. Her research background includes work on the sexual experiences of African American/Black women accessing sexual health information and utilizing sexual health services. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master in Public Health degrees from the University of Cincinnati and her doctorate degree from Indiana University. Dr. Townes is passionate about providing quality sexuality education and working towards health equity through casual conversations and scholarly research.
