Day 155: Riding the Wave

“What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” -T.S. Eliot

It is one month to the day of my still surprising upset victory at the Willamette Angel Conference. Every day seems a new beginning to my business, which is in the process of re-invention. The angel conference has cast a bright light around this love business and the momentum of other people’s commitment and confidence in your work is a powerful force.

I am in uncharted territory where the blue sky promise of my business, which has kept me going for years now has a new engine. My search for the proper pilot to take this project to new heights is one of the most interesting and inspiring processes I have ever engaged in. I am overwhelmed by the level of talent and experience of the people I speak to every day; with each conversation my clarity and ability to articulate my vision increases.

The positivity quest is changing not only my internal world now, although as my focus and ability to attend to what is happening inside me is the voice that I attend to first. As my capacity to receive love and affirmation grows, the world is showering me with it.

The days of my small business venture are numbered. My dreams are taking on a shape of a new proportion. As I let go of what has been, both the difficult and the tender memories of building a dream that is ready to leave my hands, I witness how opening up and letting go creates the capacity for more to come in.

This is the beginning of the sixth month of the positivity quest. I knew that changing my mind was the only way I could find the life I was meant to live, but I never imagined that the life I was meant to live was actually the one in my dreams. If you haven’t started your own quest yet consider this a dare. Every night I drink tea out of a mug that carries this Thoreau quote: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” It is really an incredible ride.
