Long ago, when I first imagined selling love products I called them Sacred Moments. The first labels had a picture of a lit candle surrounded by ancient quotes on the power of physical love to heal the world. My thinking was that there is no moment closer to our source than the moment of deeply physically loving the person you love. Shared orgasmic experience is as close as we get to the divine. That kind of love is awe inspiring and acts on the body like a system reset button.
I read, write, think and speak about love and intimacy every day. On really good days, I dive in and really experience the water. Sexuality has always been a profound experience of awe for me. I am renewed from the inside out and I look out with fresh eyes after meeting in the mystery and intensity of the deepest of human touch. My nervous system settles, my muscles soften, my hips realign. I rest and sleep without effort. I am emotionally balanced, grateful and content.
Today’s newsletter discussed the hierarchy of sexual needs that must be met to find the freedom to fully mature into one’s sexual self. Making peace with our sexuality opens the door to the awe that healthy sex inspires. No wonder that orgasm is one of the most coveted of life experiences. It is a path worth pursuing for the many benefits that travel with an ability to share physical pleasure.
The days of active loving are positivity teachers and help me regain my clarity about love being the answer to most of what ails us.
