Day 149: New Possiblities

“To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.” -Albert Einstein

The best thing about life these days is that I have no idea how a day is going to end up. Believing in possibilities and moving towards every new option and meeting as though it could be a game changer has completely altered not only how I think about what I do, but even more deeply given me a new angle on who I am. The more I practice this new behavior, the more it opens the door to things that I hadn’t even considered.

I used to believe that setting things in motion took a long time. Now I know that it takes only opening a door in your mind and having the courage to follow a lead or a hunch that can change everything in a single day. The real change happens inside of us, when we truly open our imagination about how things can be. It means having the courage to give up your perceived limitations and believing in your possibilities.

This week has been a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions. At each turn, there was a choice to focus on the connect or the disconnect. It became clear that the only way to live was in the connection to myself and my dreams. It took serious vigilance and attention to listening to my own voice and not be lead by the voices around me. I just returned from a great meeting with a very talented business man who may or may not change my future. Walking away and during the long drive home, the greatest win of the day was not the successful meeting itself, but the inner assurance that seems to have lifted me to a new understanding of myself in the world: which is that whether this is the connection I am seeking or not, the possibilities are endless.

Clear evidence that the positivity quest is changing my mind so much that everything seems possible. Love this quote by Robert H. Schulle, “When you’ve exhausted all possibilities, remember this—you haven’t.”
