The Opening Door- Show 52: Eliza and Sil Reynolds, Mothering & Daughtering

The relationship to our mother is our first and it shapes many of our most intimate connections.  When the relationship breaks down as it often does in the teen years,  the cascading impact of disconnection is deep and profound.   Don’t miss the wisdom and heartfelt inspiration of this mother daughter team, Sil and Eliza Reynolds.   Learning how to be proactive about keeping a strong bond through actively “mothering and daughtering” will pay dividends for years to come.

silBioSil and Eliza Reynolds are a mother and daughter team whose workshops and writing have taught hundreds of mothers and daughters how to thrive—not just survive—through the adolescent years. A graduate of Brown University, Sil is a nurse practitioner and therapist in private practice in New York’s Hudson Valley, who has over the past thirty years specialized in family medicine, women’s health, and eating disorders. Eliza attends Brown University where she is studying developmental and social psychology, gender studies, political science, dance, and nonfiction writing. She is a trained sex education counselor for Planned Parenthood and a certified peer mediator.
